Learn how to raise chickens, make herbal medicine, or learn homesteading 101! Join us on one of our special DIY workshop days at our retreat partners venue in Lake Butler. Your contribution turns this workshop into a beautiful karma balance, where you learn a bit about suburban homesteading, and our partnering farm accepts your helpful hands as we build something together!

Saturday June 28: Compost 101

  • Forest Compost Tea Extract- Ferment soil, leaf litter and molasses into a powerful ancient plant medicine that boosts plant growth for an organic fertilizer alternative. Get practical advice on how you can compost!

  • Wild Tincture Making- Forage nettles and make herbal medicine to take home.

  • Kid’s Activities- Feed the horses, collect materials for Nature crafts, color and play games.

Saturday July 26: Chicken Raising 101

  • Build a Chicken Coop- Build a chicken coop with us and along the way get some tricks on how to start raising chickens, even in the ‘burbs!

  • Herbal First Aid 101- Learn natural apothecary to complement your pantry. Great for survival techniques and natural, non-pharmaceutical holistic medicine.

  • Kid’s Activities- Feed the horses, collect materials for Nature crafts, color and play games.

$55 admission provides materials for workshop, consultation minutes, and reference worksheet

$10 child ticket add-on
